Hendricks Power Presentation

Mr. Hite, from Hendrick's Power, came to our school for a presentation on Electricity Safety. It was awesome! We discussed conductors, insulators, and what to do in case we see an electrical power line down. Mr. Hite performed some interesting experiments to see whether or not objects were good conductors. Students learned many new facts about electricity!

New Year's Resolutions

Our class wrote about our New Year's Resolutions. Students were very creative and thought through why their resolution is important and how it will affect others. Here are a few of the 4th graders resolutions...

-Help my parents with the daily chores
-Run faster than my dad
-Eat more vegetables
-Practice my golf skills throughout the winter
-Practice pitching everyday
-Playing more with my puppy
-To hit 2 home runs
-Pitch a neon yellow softball correctly
-To help my dad cook
-Make more friends

Those are some awesome resolutions! Do your best to meet your goals, 4th Graders!

Magnetism and Electricity

Our 4th grade class has been working hard on our Science unit over magnetism and electricity. Students have made circuits, experimented whether different items are magnetic, and have studied static electricity. We are also working on creating "Electricity Safety" posters. Here are some pictures of scientists hard at work!
